USPA-You’re on Notice

It has been over ten days since the USPA met in Florida and aside from posting the new handicaps, there is no news as to what it attempted or what it accomplished.  We are watching a revolving door of leadership that has been pre-selected to perpetuate this downward spiral that the USPA has been traveling on for many years.  It’s time to organize and get rid of this shortsighted leadership that the association has been saddled with for too long.  It is time to turn to younger leadership, leadership that is in touch with new members and the needs of the membership.

There has been talk for too many years about the future of the USPA, and now as we are floundering in yesterday’s future it is time we called this archaic leadership on its hollow promises.

Tell us USPA, what did you accomplish in your meetings?  Or are you too above the membership to share its “future” with it?

One of the many complaints the members have with the association is its lack of communication.  It seems that they continue to illustrate their shortcomings with indignant indifference.

People, it is time to draft a new mission statement for the USPA, it is time to ask why there is only one member on the Constitution Committee and why nothing is being done to address the abysmal umpiring that continues to be justified.  There are so many issues the USPA needs to address, maybe that’s why they haven’t issued any reports on what they accomplished-there are too many issues with which to deal and they’re not up to the task.  I challenged you to lead or get out of the way, now it is time to organize the membership to replace you and better design the process that will address our problems and allow the memberships voices to be heard.

USPA, you have been asked to respond and have failed to do so.  It is time for you to realize that you are not the USPA, the membership is.  USPA, you’re on notice.  Start packing.

  • USPA I Challenge You Too, Lead Or Get Out Of The Way.
Actually why do we care what they, the USPA do let them.

Why don’t we start an association for Polo made up of horsemen and horsewomen. We ask / elect Sunset and Stormie to run this, be the leaders because they are leaders .

They could build from the base they have now with their wonderful website they could sell
memberships and keep track of our horses our players ,
WHY NOT this or something like this any suggestions? because these two individuals have shown they do everything for the horse and the game, to keep it safe and fun and bring recognition to this sport where it should be with the horse and the riders that help get their horses there. They have not been side tracked by the illusion of business that has evolved into self importance and grown into something that has become a sad sorry state of a mess. To put it kindly.
If we have no chance of going to the Olympic with polo then why are we playing this game lets set our own coarse and take charge of our sport seeing that what we are waiting for, is so unimportant to the USPA. I suggest who ever you are Backhander you send this, to these two ladies and say please.

  • In the last week an email sent from the USPA about the retirement of two long time members one a governor I kinda thought was just an old guy. I now say thank you for trying to help. I didn’t think governors retired I thought they died.
The other a lady who Sam Morton called the most important lady in polo in the USPA.
I think these two told the USPA to go BLOW because they were standing up for us not able to correct what is happening and were unable to get anywhere and make any really postive changes and they were tired.

They were or at least I like to think standing up for all the members by these actions.

Take some pride in yourself and believe in your self and help, your hands are not tied and if you feel like they are then you need to ask your self this question who did I give the rope too and why?
I think all the members need a meeting with out the executives and build from here.
    Your thoughts?
